Celebrities Wearing Socks With Pumps Over the Years

Wearing socks with pumps has always been a polarizing trend. While some may scoff at the pairing, it hasn’t stopped a plethora of celebrities from embracing the quirky footwear look. Everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga have stepped out in socks and heels over the years. We’ve seen some in chunky knit styles and silky sheer pairs teamed with different pumps, including pointy-toe silhouettes, platforms, and more. While SJP once wore hot pink knee-high Gucci socks with red stilettos on the streets of New York City in 2021, SZA sported frilly white foldover socks with sleek black pumps at the 2023 Innovator Awards.
